Engine Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVING AND INSTALLING SPEED AND REFERENCE MARK SENSORS

Removing

1. Remove heated air elbow.

2. Pull out arrest on holder of plugs and disconnect pertinent plug.

3. Unscrew screw and pull Out sensor while turning it back and forth at same time.

4. Remove grommet.
Pull out sensor wires from slotted end of grommet.
Grommet remains on wire of temperature sensor.

5. Pull plug through opening of grommet and loosen clamp.
