Parking Brake System: Adjustments

1. Raise and support vehicle and remove rear wheels.
2. Release parking brake and press back disc brake pads on rear wheels until brake disc can be turned easily.
3. Loosen adjusting nut on clamp enough to relieve cable tension.
4. Insert screwdriver into hole in disc and turn adjusting device until wheel cannot be turned.
5. Turn adjusting device back until wheel can be turned freely.
6. Pull up parking brake lever two teeth and turn adjusting nut until wheels can still be turned by hand.
7. Ensure that wheels cannot be turned by hand at fourth tooth.
8. Release parking brake lever and ensure that both wheels turn freely.
9. Lock adjusting nut.
10. Install wheels and lower vehicle.
