Evacuating air-conditioning system

1. Connect service unit.

2. Extract refrigerant.

3. Switch on vacuum pump.

4. Open low-pressure valve 7, high-pressure valve 6, torrmeter cutoff valve 14, and evacuating valve 13.

5. Leave vacuum pump switched on for at least 15 minutes.

6. At a pressure of approx. 0.1 bar (absolute), close evacuating valve 13 and torrmeter cutoff valve. The latter is particularly important, as the torrmeter would otherwise be destroyed in subsequent flushing.

7. Switch off vacuum pump.

Note: If the vacuum pressure is unattainable or can be reached only after a very long time, or if the pressure increases to above 0.2 bar (absolute) approx. 10 minutes after turning off the pump, the circulation system leaks and must be sealed.
