Distributor Alignment

Cylinder #1 TDC:

1. Set crankshaft to #1 cylinder firing TDC. The TDC mark on the belt pulley must line up with the separating joint at the crankcase and the line mark on the fan housing.

Ignition Rotor Alignment @ TDC:

2. Turn distributor shaft with the rotor fitted until the middle of the rotors line up with the notches in the housings.
3. After installing distributor, the centerline of the rotors must line up with the index marks on the distributor housing.
