Component Tests and General Diagnostics

TEST CONDITIONS
- V-belt tensioned correctly.
- Magnetic coupling energized.
- Condenser clean.
- Sunroof, doors and windows closed.





- Connect service tester to the air conditioner compressor service ports.
(1) High pressure
(2) Low pressure

TESTING
1. Switch on A/C system.
2. Set temperature selector to max. cooling.
3. Set fresh-air blower to stage 4.




High pressure in refrigerant circuit versus ambient temperature




Low pressure in refrigerant circuit versus ambient temperature




Air temperature at center nozzle versus ambient temperature

NOTE: The pressures and temperatures indicated in the diagrams must be reached after a running time of approx. 10 mins. at a speed of 2,000 rpm with the compressor switched on.
