Recommendation of new Fluke 97/Auto Scopemeter and Snap-On/Sun Counselor II for troubleshooting.

ATTENTION: Service Manager / Service Technician

To assist the Porsche technician in troubleshooting, testing and diagnosing various systems on our vehicles, we recommend the new Fluke 97/Auto Scopemeter or the Snap-On/Sun Counselor II. Each has dual trace capabilities with a digital scope. Each has the scope display with delta function cursors. The display on the scope is very crisp and closely matched with the scope patterns that are pictured in the Porsche repair manuals.

The Fluke 97/Auto scopemeter is battery operated and is supplied with a charger and 12-volt power supply. In addition, a complete set of test leads and a secondary ignition pickup probe are also included. It has split screen capabilities for two pattern& To assist the user in the operation of the auto scopemeter, the unit comes with a self-paced training program. To maximize the use of the scopemeter, we suggest going through this program prior to use.

The Counselor II offers the capabilities of an exhaust gas analyzer. tachometer, ignition timing pickup and starter/charger amperage test The basic unit comes with roll-around cabinet, test leads, and a very comprehensive operator's manual for ease of testing.
