Models Affected:
911 Carrera Model Years 1995 and 1996
911 Turbo Model Year 1996

Concern:

Care must be taken when working on or around any vacuum lines or fittings. Vacuum lines that become disconnected or kinked can cause faults in the OBDII system and/or problems in the heater A/C system.

General Cautions:

When working on vacuum lines or vacuum fittings the following precautions should be observed:

1. When inserting a vacuum line into a fitting, insert the line to a depth of 8 - 10 mm. Inserting a vacuum line too deeply into a fitting or manifold may cause the line to be blocked. Use a felt tip marker or adhesive tape to mark the depth on the vacuum line.

2. Only use water as a lubricant when inserting vacuum lines into fittings.
