The following PID's are supported in mode 1:

A 4-byte word (Data A, B, C and D) indicates which PID's are supported in this mode.

$01 Diagnosis system status

The system status is indicated by a 4-byte word (Data A, B, C and D).

NOTE: If there are several control units, the status of the check engine light indicates which control unit was responsible for switching on the check engine light.

Bits 0 to 6 - Number of faults in binary numbers

0 - Check engine light not switched on by this control unit.
1 - Check engine light switched on by this control unit.

Data byte B indicates the subsystems which are monitored continuously, i.e. at least twice per second.

0 - system not supported.

Data C
Data byte C indicates the subsystems which are monitored at least once per trip.

Bit 0 - catalytic converter
Bit 1 - catalytic converter heating
Bit 2 - tank ventilation
Bit 3 - secondary air injection system
Bit 4 - air conditioning system
Bit 5 - oxygen sensor
Bit 6 - oxygen sensor heating
Bit 7 - exhaust gas recirculation

0 - subsystem not installed.
1 - subsystem installed.





Data D
Data byte D indicates the readiness codes of the subsystems of data byte C.

Bit 0 to 7
0 - subsystem test in order or subsystem not installed.
1 - subsystem test not yet completed.

NOTE: After the fault memory is erased, the bits of the subsystems installed are set to 1. These bits are again set to o if diagnosis routines are successfully completed in 2 trips.

$03 Injection system status.

Bit 4 - closed-loop control, but fault signal from at least one oxygen sensor.
Bits 5 to 7 not used.
