Fuel Level

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on

Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit to ground/voltage or open circuit in the wiring between the sensor for fuel level and instrument cluster
- Sensor for fuel level faulty

Affected pins
Instrument cluster connector B, pin 4 and pin 20

NOTE: The instrument cluster output voltage is measured in troubleshooting step 2. With RWD vehicles, it is first necessary to remove the battery, disconnect the plug from the fuel level sensor and then re-install the battery.
