Removing Pistons

- Preparation: the cylinder head must be removed.


NOTE: Before removing the cylinder, label the cylinder bank accordingly.


1. Carefully pull the cylinder with the 3 cylinder liners up and oft the pistons.


NOTE: Identify each piston using a pen, e.g. 1, 2 or 3


2. Lever off the piston pin circlips with a suitable screwdriver and discard.


NOTE: The cylinder liners should be identified accordingly.







3. Drive cylinder liners out of the cylinder. To do this, insert the pressure piece of pushing device 9660 at the base of the cylinder liner and drive the cylinder liner out with a plastic hammer.

4. Remove O-rings from the cylinder and 0-rings from the cylinder liners and discard. Assign cylinder liners to the corresponding piston.
