Test point 9
EPROM key data defective or parameter set incorrectly encoded

Fault code 9

This fault is stored in the memory in the following cases:
1. The control module is faulty.
2. The control module is incorrectly programmed.

Remedy:
Erase fault memory, move shift lever out of reverse gear and switch off ignition. Next, switch ignition back on, move shift lever into reverse and read out fault memory.

If the fault reappears, select the menu item Modify coding and check that the vehicle type is correctly encoded.

If the coding is correct, replace the control module.
