Control unit faulty (RAM) - signal unclear

Function:
- Irregularities have been detected in the monitoring of the DME - control unit.
- For fault code P1671, there could also have been a malfunction of the DME - relay.

Diagnostic conditions:
- Ignition on

Possible causes of fault:
- DME control unit faulty
- DME relay faulty (for fault code P1671)

INFORMATION: If only the fault code P1671 is entered, first check the DME relay and replace if necessary.







Information about environmental conditions for the next work step:
The following conditions must be observed for step 2 (adaptation):
- Do not actuate accelerator pedal.
- Vehicle is stationary
- Engine not running
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Engine temperature between 5 °C and 100 °C
- Intake air temperature warmer than 10 °C
