Inserting the portable faceplate panel:
Procedure:
Procedure for installing the faceplate:
1.1 Insert the faceplate so that it engages first in the lower catch and then the lower right.
1.2 Press the faceplate into the upper catches.
Alternate procedure:
2.1 Position the faceplate directly over all four catches and press in firmly to engage.
2.2 For proper functioning, ensure that the faceplate is firmly engaged in all four catches.
Note:
The faceplate can be removed from the radio unit in order to effectively forestall theft.
Procedure for removing the faceplate:
1.1 Press and hold the button as shown. The faceplate can then be pulled out.
1.2 The volume has been limited to a maximum value after the display has been folded down. After 20 seconds an audible signal Indicates that the control component is folded down. The unit is switched to mute. The unit switches off after a further 10 seconds.
CAUTION!
For safety reasons, do not leave the faceplate off the radio when driving.
Do not touch the metal contacts on the faceplate or the radio during installation.
