Immobiliser

The immobiliser code can be entered under the 'Learning functions' menu item in the I48 function selection after the alarm system control module is replaced.

CAUTION: The immobiliser code cannot be deleted or changed again. An incorrect input will render the control module useless.

Enter and check immobiliser code carefully.

Transponder key
A new transponder can be adapted for the vehicle under the 'Learning functions/Transponder key' menu item. The old transponders can be taught to the new control module after the alarm system control module is replaced and the immobiliser code is entered.
Refer to "Teaching hand-held transmitter" and "Reading out remote controls".

Remote control
Up to four remote controls can be adapted to the control module under the 'Learning functions/remote control' menu item. The old remote controls can be taught to the new control module after the alarm system control module is replaced and the immobiliser code is entered. Refer to "Teaching hand-held transmitter".

Reading out remote controls
Under the 'Read out remote controls' menu item, the data of the remote controls can be read out after the alarm system control module is replaced. If it is not possible to read out and transfer the remote controls (e.g. no communication with the control module), the old remote controls can be adapted to the new control module (teaching hand-held transmitter).

Transferring remote controls
The data read out from the remote controls can be transferred to the new control module under the 'Transfer remote controls' menu item.
