Checking Cooling System, Level and Protection

Checking Cooling System

Coolant: Checking the level and antifreeze protection content

NOTE:
- The engine cooling system is factory-filled with a coolant which does not need to be changed. The coolant should not be mixed with other coolants.
- Only Original Porsche anti-freeze should be used when changing or topping up the coolant.

1. Check anti-freeze content. To do this, open the lid on the coolant expansion tank and check with a frost protection testing device. If it is lower than - 35 degrees C, it should be corrected accordingly.

2. Check the cooling system for leaks. To do this, apply a test pressure of approx. 1 bar using the cooling system test device and check hose connections for leakage.

3. Check cooling device for external dirt. The cooling device should not contain too much dirt. If necessary, it can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
