Removing And Installing Closing Aid - Targa

Removing closing aid

Installing closing aid

NOTE: After replacing the closing aid, a reset in the Targa roof control module must be carried out, refer to Diagnosis Targa roof.

Position of closing aid

The position of the closing aid affects the ejection height and the chafing noises at the rear lid. After opening the rear lid, the ejection height should be X = 16 mm.

Initialisation of the closing aid

NOTE: If a closing aid "new" is installed, it must be initialised.

1. Disconnect power supply for the closing aid. To do this, the central plug of the Targa roof (30-pin) must be disconnected.
- Turn plug -A- direction in and remove up and off.
- To disconnect the plug, open the locking in -B- direction.

2. Reconnect power supply. Rejoin and position central plug (30- pin).
- Connect plugs, close locking -B-.
- Position plug, screw in in direction of arrow -A-.
3. Press the key "Unlocking rear lid" once. This re-initialises the closing aid. The control module "knows" the current switching position of the closing aid.
