The yaw velocity sensor and the lateral acceleration sensor are positioned within a housing on the center console. The measuring element of the yaw velocity sensor is manufactured in micromechanics. Four acceleration sensors, located in pairs of two on two masses oscillating in phase opposition, measure the vehicle's linear and rotational proportions. These are translated into lateral acceleration and rotational speed in the evaluation circuitry and forwarded to the PSM control module.
