The 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera S are intended to be indentifiable as a Porsche by their load-related sound from the outside as well as from the inside of the vehicle. This goal has of course been brought into line with statutory requirements. Porsche engineers have managed to comply with all legal regulations worldwide. Reducing wind and tire noises has allowed greater emphasis to be placed on the engine sound.
