Wheel fastening
The length of the wheel bolts of the GT3 - as of model year 2004 and GT3 RS are the same as that of the wheel bolts of the Carrera (996). In the GT3 - up to model year 2003, the wheel bolts are 5 mm longer.

A Standard wheel bolt (Carrera, GT3 RS and GT3 - as of model year 2004). Dimension X approximately 45 mm.
B Wheel bolt for GT3 - up to model year 2003. Dimension X approximately 50 mm. Designation with GT or red color (arrow).

Vehicles with PCCB
In vehicles equipped with the option PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake), use assembly aids (assembly pins) for wheel removal/installation, in order to exclude any possibility of heavy contact of the wheel with the brake disc!

The assembly aids (2 assembly pins) are located in the luggage compartment.





Screw the 2 assembly aids (assembly pins), instead of 2 wheel bolts, into the wheel hub. During removal, first remove the 3 remaining wheel bolts and remove the wheel carefully, without touching the brake discs.
