Concern:
Spare parts requirements for one or more pistons on an engine.

Information:
Engines within the engine number range listed below were assembled with pistons using a special weight group and are not available as spare parts. If there is a spare parts requirement for one or more pistons on one of these engines, all 6 pistons must be replaced. The choice of the piston weight group to be installed is optional.

A mixed installation of weight groups within one engine is not permitted. On engines outside this engine number range, the pistons can be ordered and replaced separately.

The procedure for determining the weight group of the piston(s) to be installed will be published with the next update of the Workshop Manual 911 Carrera (997), Group 1, 13 10 IN - Weight groups pistons.
