Internal communication fault in CD changer

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on.
- PCM2/CDR23 on
- Functional audio CD inserted correctly in CD changer
- Start CD changer

NOTE:
- Fault code 8003 is recorded in the PCM2 MMI/CDR23 if the operating buttons are actuated for 1 min. or longer.
- Deactivate the automatic traffic announcement before performing the diagnosis on the PCM2/CDR23. If this is not done, the diagnosis will abort.

Possible cause of fault
- CD changer faulty

NOTE:
- The MOST optical waveguide is connected to the following control modules.
- PCM2/CDR23
- CD changer
- Amplifier
- Telephone/telematics
