Compatibility check/locking concept

The locking concept prevents users from performing unauthorized update processes by inserting an invalid CD/DVD. As soon as a software CD or navigation DVD is inserted, a compatibility check is performed in the PCM and this checks whether this CD or DVD can be used in the current configuration.

Depending on the result, various messages can be displayed in the PCM after a CD/DVD is inserted. This prevents a Cayenne PCM system CD being inserted in a sports car from initiating an update.
