916019 Removing And Installing CD Changer

Preliminary work

Preliminary work - removing CD changer
Refer to Removing and installing luggage compartment cover - removing.

Removing CD changer

Install location:

Retaining clips:

1. Push both retaining clips -A- back.

Removal:

2. Jerk the CD changer with its retaining bracket forward.

ATTENTION:
Voltage peaks may cause damage to the audio system.
- Before unplugging/removing audio components, remove ignition key and switch off audio system.

Electrical connectors:

3. Release the electrical connectors and unplug them.

Fastening screws:

4. Unscrew the 6 fastening screws -6- and pull the CD changer out of its retaining bracket.

Removing the US version of the CD changer.

Install location:

Fastening screws:

1. Unscrew the 6 fastening screws -1- and pull the CD changer out of its retaining bracket.

ATTENTION:
Voltage peaks may cause damage to the audio system.
- Before unplugging/removing audio components, remove ignition key and switch off audio system.

Electrical connectors:

2. Release the electrical connectors -4, 5- and unplug them.

Installing CD changer

Retaining clips:

1. Replace retaining clips for CD changer retaining bracket.

Fastening screws:

2. Insert the CD changer into its retaining bracket and screw down tight with 6 fastening screws -6-. PN 250-B 2.0 ftlb.

Electrical plug:

3. Insert electrical connectors into the audio components until they are felt to engage.

Installing:

4. Position the bracket with the CD changer already attached on top of the body and jerk it backwards until the bracket snaps into place.
5. Check whether the clips have engaged into the body by pulling the CD changer.

Installing the US version of the CD changer.

Electrical plug:

1. Plug the electrical connectors -4, 5- into the CD changer until they are felt to engage.

Fastening screw:

2. Insert the CD changer into its retaining bracket and screw down tight with 6 fastening screws -1-. PN 250-B 2.0 ftlb.
