Preliminary work
1. Remove rear light on right and left.
2. Remove the rear spoiler.

Removing rear spoiler

Installation Location Of Rear Apron:

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- at the sides of the rear spoiler -2-.

Undoing Rear Spoiler At The Sides:

2. Remove retainer plate -3-.
3. Unscrew fastening screws -1- at the top of the rear spoiler -2-.

Loosening The Rear Spoiler At Top:

4. Carefully pull rear apron -2- to the rear until the plug connection is accessible.
5. Press lug -arrow- of the plug connection -4- and separate.

Disconnecting Plug Connection:

6. Remove rear spoiler.

Safety instructions for the heat shield

ATTENTION:
The installation of deformed heat shields will cause damage.
- The installation of deformed heat shields will cause damage due to parts heating up.
- Damaged or distorted heat shields must be straightened or replaced.
- Check heat shields for deformation, bonding (detachment of the aluminium layers), tears and missing or damaged sealing strips.
- After fitting the bumper, check heat shields for leaks.

Installing rear spoiler

Installation Location Of Rear Apron:

1. Check the heat shields on the vehicle before fitting the rear spoiler and replace the heat protection shield if necessary. Check that the heat shields are properly fitted and correct if necessary.
2. Plug in electrical plug connection -4-.

Connecting The Plug Connection:

3. Position rear spoiler -2- on the vehicle

Fastening The Rear Spoiler At Top:

4. Screw in fastening screws -1- above and below on the rear apron -2- and tighten to tightening torque Tightening torque 2 ftlb..
5. Engage retainer plate -3- in square opening. Fastening rear spoiler at the sides

Fastening Rear Spoiler At The Sides:

6. Screw in fastening screws -1- laterally on the rear apron -2- and tighten to the specified torque. Tightening torque 2 ftlb.

Dimensions of tailpipes

Gap dimension of tailpipe
1. Check gap dimensions of tailpipes -1- to rear apron -2-, if necessary, adjust tailpipes -1-.

Gap Dimension Of Tailpipe:

Projection from rear spoiler: -Y = 26,2 ± 2 mm-.
Distance from rear spoiler: -Z = 27 mm-.
Centre distance at the sides evenly to the left and right.

Gap dimension of tailpipe
1. Check gap dimensions of tailpipes -1- to rear apron -2-, if necessary, adjust tailpipes -1-.

Gap Dimension Of Tailpipe:

Projection from rear spoiler: -Y = 26,2 ± 2 mm-.
Distance from rear spoiler: -Z = 25 mm-.
Centre distance at the sides evenly to the left and right.

Subsequent work
1. After rear apron assembly, check heat protection shields for correct assembly, if necessary, correct.
2. Check rear gap dimensions, adjust if necessary.
3. Install rear apron.
4. Install rear light on right and left.
