Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- The fuses of the 'PSM control module' are OK
- The fuses of the 'gateway' in the instrument cluster are OK
- Battery voltage is OK
- Plug on 'PSM control module' attached correctly
Possible cause of fault
- Incorrect vehicle type selected in the Porsche System Tester II No 9588
- The Porsche System Tester II No. 9588 is not connected correctly or is faulty
- Power supply to the 'PSM control module' is not OK
- 'K lead' to 'gateway' in instrument cluster does not function
- 'Gateway' in instrument cluster does not function
- 'CAN drive' does not function
- 'PSM control module' does not function

PSM control module plug:
- Pin 4 'terminal 15 power supply via fuse F38/fuse carrier at right of dashboard'
- Pin 1 'terminal 30 power supply via fuse F56/fuse carrier at right of dashboard'
- Pin 32 'terminal 30 power supply via fuse F6/fuse carrier at right of dashboard'
- Pin 16 'ground for body ground point 14'
- Pin 47 'ground for body ground point 14'
- Pin 11 'CAN drive (high)'
- Pin 15 'CAN drive (low)'
Diagnosis/troubleshooting PSM 0101
