Brake Booster Pressure Sensor - Above Limit

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Ignition switched on

Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit to B+ in signal wire
- Short circuit to B+ in sensor ground
- Open circuit in sensor ground
- Brake booster pressure sensor faulty
- DME control module faulty

Affected pins
DME control module connector A, pin 27, and brake booster pressure sensor connector, pin 1
DME control module connector A, pin 53, and brake booster pressure sensor connector, pin 3
DME control module connector B, pin 85, and brake booster pressure sensor connector, pin 4

Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE:
- If connector A is disconnected from the DME control module and the ignition is or was switched on, the 'DME Control Module Timeout' fault is recorded in many control modules.
- If control module connector A was disconnected from the DME in the course of troubleshooting or if the voltage supply was interrupted elsewhere (battery, fuse), the throttle adjusting unit must be adapted.
- The wiring for DME control module connector B, pin 85, and brake booster pressure sensor connector, pin 4 is routed via the KE2 interface, pin 5.
