Information
This repair method is a cost-effective repair that may have quality implications. To achieve the best repair result, always use the tool recommended by Porsche and attend the special training courses put on by the tool/system suppliers.
With interior cosmetic repairs, it is possible to repair grazes, tears, scratches and burn holes in plastic and leather components in the interior. For example: => Before and after
Before and after
With this repair method, the damage is filled with special adhesives and resins and the surface structure is restored by means of a pattern imprint. The damaged area is painted over in the last step.
Repair restrictions
- Tears and cuts in low-stressed components (e.g. dashboard, trim panels) up to around 50 mm long can be repaired.
- Tears and cuts in more heavily stressed components (e.g. seats) up to around 20 mm long can be repaired.
- Holes in low-stressed components (e.g. dashboard, trim panels) up to around 20 mm in diameter can be repaired.
- Holes in more heavily stressed components (e.g. seats) up to around 10 mm in diameter can be repaired.
- Damage in the area of a seam cannot be repaired.
- Alcantara leather cannot be repaired.
- Here too, the skills and experience of the worker are crucial for a good repair result.
Creating pattern imprint
Tool box: Interior repairs system B1 WE 1355
1. Clean surface of the structural area to be copied using "Plastcleaner" and dry with warm air (approx. 60°C).
Cleaning surface
2. Evenly apply the "Mouldmaker" 2-component material to the surface using the mixing tube and mixing gun.
3. Spread out the compound into a thin layer (approx. 2 - 3 mm) using a spatula.
Creating pattern imprint
4. Leave pattern imprint to cure for 10 - 15 min.
5. Carefully remove pattern imprint and clean the surface using "Plastcleaner".
Removing pattern imprint
The pattern imprint can be re-used numerous times.
The pattern imprint will not leave behind any undesirable marks and can therefore be used anywhere.
Vinyl repairs
1. Thoroughly clean the area to be repaired using "Plastcleaner" and dry with warm air (approx. 60°C).
Cleaning surface
2. Fill the damaged area with "Compound" adhesive filler right up to the upper level.
Information
Always test the thermal sensitivity of the vinyl in a concealed area first.
If the damage is deep, apply the material in several layers, removing any excess compound at the edge immediately and curing between layers using the iron (=> temperature: 160°C ).
Filling damage
3. With larger areas of damage, such as tears or holes, insert a piece of nylon fabric under the area to be repaired for reinforcement.
3.1. Cut a suitable piece of nylon fabric material to size and push under the damage using the small spatula.
3.2. Rub adhesive filler into the nylon fabric and cure using the iron.
4. Lay the pattern imprint onto the top layer of adhesive filler to restore the pattern, gently press on with the heated iron for 5 - 10 seconds and wait for a few seconds before continuing.
Heating adhesive filler
5. Cool down and fix the transferred pattern using a cooling block.
Cooling adhesive filler
6. Carefully remove pattern imprint.
Removing pattern imprint
7. The adhesive filler has cured when it becomes slightly transparent. If the adhesive filler still looks milky, repeat steps => 4. to => 6.
8. Thoroughly clean the area to be painted using "Plastcleaner" and dry with warm air (approx. 60°C), as "Plastcleaner" is partly water-soluble.
9. Then paint the repaired area.=> Painting and dyeing

Leather repairs
1. Thoroughly clean the area to be repaired a number of times using "Plastcleaner" and dry with warm air (approx. 60°C).
Cleaning surface
Repairing scratches and creases
2. Fill scratches and creases with "Leather Crack Filler" and allow to dry for around 1 - 2 hours before continuing with step => 9.
If the damage is deep, apply in several layers and dry with warm air (approx. 60°C); the "Leather Crack Filler" shrinks by up to 30% as it dries.

Information
Leather is a natural product which must be treated individually.
The leather must be thoroughly cleaned a number of times prior to painting as leather becomes greasy from the inside and it is not possible to rule out any previous treatment with silicon-containing products. Impregnation can also impair the adhesion of the paint.
9. Thoroughly clean leather a number of times with "Plastcleaner". Allow the leather to air dry for approx. 5 min. after cleaning. Clean the leather again if it is very dirty or if there is still a greasy residue.
10. Sand the damaged area with an abrasive pad or sandpaper (P400).

WARNING
Toxic substances
- Danger of poisoning or suffocation
-> Ventilate the work area well.
-> Never ingest or inhale.
-> Read specific information on the Hazard Sheet.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
1. From the colour samples choose the colour that most closely matches the original.
2. Shake paint container thoroughly before mixing.
3. Mix paint on the paint scales interior repair scales, small (0.01g scale) WE 1357 in accordance with the formulary.
4. Mix paints thoroughly and compare the colour obtained with the original. To do this, dab or spray some of the paint onto the original part.
Critically examine the colour match of the paint when dry. It is often necessary to adapt the colour mixture and sometimes this may take several attempts.
5. If necessary, match the sheen and colour intensity using the additive "Opacante A". The amount of this additive that can be added to the paint must not exceed 25%.
6. Check adhesion of paint by gently scratching the dry paint.
7. If the colour is correct, apply paint to the damaged area using paint-spraying gun - Sata-Minijet WE 1146 or an airbrush gun.
For small areas of damage, the paint can also be applied using a clean, lint-free cloth. In this case, apply the paint in several layers using a circular motion.
Painting
8. Leave paint to dry at a temperature of no less than 16°C for approx. 90 min. It may take less time to dry at warmer temperatures.
The drying time should be increased if the paint was applied in several layers.
9. Match the lustre, if necessary:
- "Matt fix scan" provides a matt finish.
- "Gloss fix scan" provides a gloss finish.
- A satin finish is achieved by mixing the two gloss regulators.
9.1. Shake gloss regulators thoroughly and filter through a paper filter.
9.2. Mix "Matt fix scan" and "Gloss fix scan" thoroughly in the desired ratio.
9.3. Test gloss regulator in a concealed area.
9.4. Check the lustre when dry and adapt if necessary.
9.5. Apply the gloss regulator using paint-spraying gun - Sata-Minijet WE 1146 or an airbrush gun.
For small areas of damage, the gloss regulator can also be applied using a clean, lint-free cloth. Apply it using a circular motion.
10. Leave the paint to dry overnight before applying any load.
Observe the information and instructions provided by the tool manufacturer as well.
The various repair methods can only be learned through intensive training.
