Adjusting front door
INFORMATION: To ensure that the tapered seat of the hinge is positioned without tension, it may be necessary to take the door hinges off the door if:
- A new bare door shell is installed.
- The bare door shell was or is damaged.
- The bare door shell has no seam joining line.
1. Loosen the fastening screw -1- so that the hinge pins are not strained. Support the doors if necessary to prevent damage. Master Wheel 50 T wheel mounting trolley with door removal device can be used to do this.
2. Tighten fastening screws M6 x 12 -1- on the hinge joints -2-. Tightening torque : 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
INFORMATION: To adjust front doors, use special tool Key for door adjustment 3320.
3. Loosen fastening screw -1-. Set the contour with respect to the wing and side member by moving the angle pieces -2- both vertically and horizontally. Refer to Diagram - body gap dimensions.
The dowel sleeves may have to be removed for subsequent assembly.
Tightening torque; Final tightening: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
Setting the rear door
1. Undo fastening screw -2-. Set the contour with respect to the rear wing and side member by shifting the latch striker -1- both vertically and horizontally. Refer to Diagram - body gap dimensions
Tightening torque: Final tightening: 17 ftlb.
