Preliminary work

Remove main headlight. -> 941519 Removing and installing headlight - section on "Removing" 94151900 Removing and installing main headlight

Removing cap of main headlight

1. Unscrew four fastening screws -1- from the cap.

2. Release cap once at the top and twice at the bottom -a- and remove from the main headlight.

1. Disengage securing clip.

2. Pull electrical connector off bulb and remove bulb.

1. Unscrew high beam bulb, bayonet lock counter-clockwise.

2. Unclip electric connector -a- and unplug.

Installing halogen bulb

CAUTION

Danger of injury! Danger of material damage if bulbs are used or handled incorrectly!

-> When installed, the headlight has a high voltage.
-> Only bulbs specified in the bulb table may be used!
-> Bulbs with a higher wattage may damage the bulb housing!
-> To prevent short circuits, the load in question must be switched off when changing bulbs!
-> New bulbs must be clean and free of grease. Therefore, never touch bulbs with your bare hands! To change the bulbs, use a cloth or soft paper.
-> Observe the safety instructions when replacing a bulb in a Bi-Xenon headlight.
-> In certain states, it is compulsory to carry spare light bulbs.

1. Push the electrical connector fully onto the bulb.

2. Engage locking clip.

CAUTION

-> Only bulbs specified in the bulb table may be used!
-> Bulbs with a higher wattage may damage the bulb housing!

1. Push electric connector onto bulb until it clicks into place.

2. Insert high beam bulb into headlight and lock with bayonet lock.

1. Position cap on main headlight and press into place, making sure that the cap engages once at the top and twice at the bottom.

2. Screw in four fastening screws -1- for the cap.

Subsequent work

Install main headlight. -> 941519 Removing and installing headlight - section on "Installing" 94151900 Removing and installing main headlight

Carry out functional check of headlights.
