The exact requirements to enter closed fuel control after engine start for the non continuous lambda sensor (HEGO) are:
- ECT temperature above applicable enable temperature for activating closed loop
- forced closed loop control if the ECT sensor is not working in accordance with the time requirements listed in paragraph 1968.2 (e) (10.2.2) (B) (ii) a.
- catalyst heating phase (including secondary air injection) must be over
- lambda-probe operability (no actual errors stored for oxygen sensor) for non continuous lambda control:
