The pulley of the new 911 Turbo has been improved with respect to the previous model, in particular through the following design measures:
- Torsional vibration balancer
- Hub in forged aluminum

The previous model had a rigid steel pulley. In the new 911 Turbo, the pulley comprises a torsional vibration balancer with a hub in forged aluminum and a steel flywheel. This design enhancement in the new 911 Turbo has allowed the smooth running and acoustics of the engine to be improved with almost no change in component weight.
