Removing And Installing Front Loudspeakers (Dashboard)

WARNING: Before removing the loudspeakers, switch off the ignition, remove the ignition key and switch off the radio system.

Removing Front Loudspeakers (Dashboard)

Bose high-pitch loudspeaker







1. Use a plastic spatula, for example, to pry up the loudspeaker cover and pivot it upwards to the windscreen.







2. Unscrew both fastening screws.
3. Raise the loudspeaker and disconnect the electrical connections to it.

Bose center speaker







1. Carefully insert a plastic spatula at the four points between the air vent and dashboard and rise out the air vent.







2. Unscrew the two fastening screws beside the air outlet.







3. Carefully rise out the cover with a plastic spatula at the four points and pivot it upwards to the windscreen.







4. Remove the fastening screws from the loudspeaker.
5. Raise the loudspeaker and disconnect the electrical connections to it.

Installing Front Loudspeakers (Dashboard)

Bose high-pitch loudspeaker







1. Bose low-pitch loudspeaker
2. Secure the loudspeaker with the two fastening screws. Tightening torque 1.4 Nm (1 ftlb.).







3. Engage the loudspeaker cover in the area of the windscreen in the dashboard, pivot down and latch in place.

Bose center speaker







1. Bose low-pitch loudspeaker
2. Secure the loudspeaker with the two fastening screws. Tightening torque 1.4 Nm (1 ftlb.).







3. Engage the center section cover in the dashboard and latch in place at the four points.







4. Screw in the front fastening screws. Tightening torque 1.4 Nm (1 ftlb.).
5. Position the middle air vent and press into the dashboard until the air vent clicks into place.
