Installation position of air deflector

1. Open roof panel 2.
2. Unclip cover -1- by pulling upwards -arrow-.

3. Unhook locking lever.
3.1. Release locking lever -1- ( -arrow A- ) and guide it forward -arrows B-.
3.2. Guide locking lever -1- further forward over the contour -arrow C- until the air deflector is folded in fully.

4. Release and remove bearing pin.
4.1. Insert a hexagon wrench into the bearing pin -1- ( -arrow A- ) and release the bearing pin -1- by turning it -arrow B-.
4.2. Lift up bearing pin -1- and remove it -arrow C-.

5. Remove locking lever.
5.1. Guide locking lever -1- out of the mount -arrows A- and lift it up to remove it -arrow B-.

6. Loosen actuating cable.
6.1. Unscrew lock nuts -1- on the actuating cable -2-.
6.2. Disengage actuating cable -2- ( -arrow- ).
6.3. Unscrew adjusting nut -3- on the actuating cable -2-.

7. Pull actuating cable -1- out of the holder -2- ( -arrow- ).

8. Unscrew fastening screws -2- and remove air deflector -1-.

Installation position of air deflector

1. Install air deflector
1.1. Position air deflector -1-.
1.2. Screw in fastening screws -2- and tighten to the specified tightening torque.
=> Tightening torque: 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)+0.5 Nm (+0.5 ftlb.)

2. Route actuating cable.
2.1. Insert actuating cable into the groove in the guide rail -arrows-.

3. Slide actuating cable -1- through the holder -2- ( -arrow- ).

4. Secure actuating cable.
4.1. Screw adjusting nut -3- onto the actuating cable -2-.
4.2. Slide in actuating cable -2- on the mounting saddle -arrow-.

Information

Only fit nuts loosely because the position of the actuating cable will have to be adjusted after fitting the locking lever.

4.3. Screw on lock nuts -1- on the actuating cable -2-.

5. Insert locking lever -1- from above -arrows A- and guide it into the bearing location -arrow B-.

6. Fit bearing pin.
6.1. Press locking lever -2- against the spring tensioning into the bearing location -arrow A-.
6.2. Insert bearing pin -1- into the bearing location -arrow B-.
6.3. Insert a hexagon wrench into the bearing pin -1- ( -arrow C- ) and lock the bearing pin -1- by turning it -arrow D-.

7. Hook in locking lever.

Information

- Actuating the locking lever extends the air deflector.

- Always engage locking lever at the end position following assembly work. This ensures that the air deflector will extend correctly when the lid is opened.

7.1. Guide locking lever -1- backwards -arrow A- and hook it in at the end position -arrow B-.

8. Adjust actuating cable.

Information

- The deflection roller is visible from outside through lid 1. Light up the installation area with a lamp if necessary.

8.1. With the air deflector extended, adjust the nuts -arrows- on the actuating cable so that the joint on the air deflector flap -2- is above the dead centre position of the deflection roller -1-. The spring -3- must be actuated while doing this.

9. Perform a function test.
9.1. Open and close the panorama roof several times and check that the air deflector extends and retracts correctly.
10. Tighten the lock nuts.
10.1. Brace the lock nuts against each other.
11. Clip in cover -1- ( -arrow- ).
