WM 175019 Removing and installing oil pan on 4.8-litre DFI engines
Technical values
Preliminary work
1. Remove engine guard. => 108019 Removing and installing engine guard (underbody panel) on DFI engines - section on "Removing"
2. Drain engine oil. For details, see => 170117 Changing engine oil and oil filter on DFI engines.
3. Remove front wire assembly from the oil pan for PDCC.

4. Remove front-axle carrier. Pay attention to the PDCC cable connections when doing so. => 40061900 Removing and installing front-axle carrier. Engine carrier remains fitted on the longitudinal members.

Removing oil pan
1. Remove all screws from the oil pan. Remove oil pan.

2. If the seal is damaged when removing the oil pan or if the seal was leaking, the entire oil pan must be replaced. Otherwise the oil pan with the vulcanised seal can be reused.
Installing oil pan
1. Position oil pan and screw in screws by hand. Align oil pan and tighten.

Subsequent work
1. Install front-axle carrier. Pay attention to the PDCC cable connections when doing so. => 40061900 Removing and installing front axle carrier
2. Fit front wire assembly to the oil pan for PDCC.
3. Fill in engine oil. For details, see => 170117 Changing engine oil and oil filter on DFI engines.
4. Install engine guard. => 108019 Removing and installing engine guard (underbody panel) on DFI engines - section on "Installing"
