Installation position of cover for rear seat
1. Remove cover on the underside of the seat.
1.1. For seats with and without seat heating:
1.1.1. Remove seat adjustment switch and cover if fitted. -> 727619 Removing and installing switch for rear seat adjustment - section on "Removing" 727619 Removing and installing switch for rear seat adjustment
1.1.2. Unhook the seat cover hooks -1- from the metal frame.

1.1.3. Detach the Velcro fasteners -2 - at the rear left and right and guide them in through the seat cushion.

1.2. For seats with seat-surface extension:
1.2.1. Disengage two seat cover holders at the left and right.

1.2.2. Disengage rubber tensioner -3- from the bracket at the left and right.

1.2.3. Detach seat cover and seat cover hooks -4- at the front.

1.2.4. Cut tie-wraps -5- and one (metal) cushion clip -6-.

1.2.6. Disengage seat cover hooks -7- from the metal frame.

1.2.7. Detach the Velcro fasteners at the rear left and right and guide them in through the seat cushion.
2. Remove tie-wraps, lines and connectors on the underside of the seat.
2.1. For seats with seat heating:
2.1.1. Disconnect electric plug connections for the heating elements in the side bolsters.

2.1.2. Guide electric lines through the side bolsters at the left and right.

2.1.3. Cut tie-wraps -8-.

2.1.4. Pull material cover with heating elements off the cushion.

2.2. For seats with seat heating and air conditioning:
2.2.1. Disconnect electric plug connections for the heating elements in the side bolsters.

2.2.2. Guide electric lines through the side bolsters at the left and right.

2.2.3. Cut tie-wraps -8-.

2.2.4. Disconnect electric plug connection for heating elements for the lower leg support.

2.2.5. Disconnect electric plug connection for the suction fan.

2.2.6. Pull off material cover and electric line.

3. Remove cushion clips from the cushion carrier.
3.1. For seats with and without seat heating:
3.1.1. Cut the metal cushion clips in the sequence shown -a to d- using side cutters.

3.1.2. Remove cover -9- from the padding -arrow A-.
3.1.3. Remove remaining parts of cushion clips.
3.2. For seats with seat heating and air conditioning:
Information
The cushion clips -a and c- are metal and must be cut using side cutters. The cushion clips -b- are plastic and can be removed.
3.2.1. Cut the cushion clips in the sequence shown -a to c- using side cutters and remove them from the cushion.

3.2.2. Remove cover -9- from the padding -arrow A-.
3.2.3. Remove remaining parts of cushion clips.
Installing cover for rear seat
Information
- Always replace metal cushion clips.
- Reuse plastic cushion clips. Replace defective cushion clips.
1. Fit cushion clips on the cushion carrier.
1.1. For seats with and without seat heating:
1.1.1. Place cover -9- on the padding -arrow B- and align with the contour of the padding.
1.1.2. Secure the cover -9- using cushion clip pliers Nr.130 and fasten new metal cushion clips in the sequence shown -a to c-.

1.2. For seats with seat heating and air conditioning:

1.2.1. Place cover -9- on the padding -arrow B- and align with the contour of the padding.
1.2.2. Secure the cover -9- using cushion clip pliers Nr.130 and secure new metal cushion clips at the circular marks -a and c-.
1.2.3. Attach the cover -9- to the padding using plastic cushion clips -b-.
1.2.4. Fit the cover in the sequence shown -a to c-.
2. Fit tie-wraps, lines and connectors on the underside of the seat.
2.1. For seats with seat heating:
2.1.1. Fit electric line and stick on the material cover. Use new adhesive if necessary.
2.1.2. Fit tie-wraps -8- for securing the electric line.

2.1.3. Guide electric lines through the side bolsters at the left and right.

2.1.4. Plug electric plug connections for the heating elements into the side bolsters.

2.2. For seats with seat heating and air conditioning:
2.2.1. Fit electric line and stick on the material cover. Use new adhesive if necessary.
2.2.2. Plug in electric plug connection for the suction fan.

2.2.4. Attach tie-wraps -8- for securing the electric line.

3. Fit cover on the underside of the seat.
3.1. For seats with and without seat heating:
3.1.1. Guide Velcro fasteners -2- at the rear left and right out through the seat cushion and secure them.

3.2. Seats with seat-surface extension:
3.2.1. Guide Velcro fasteners -2- at the rear left and right in through the seat cushion and secure them.

3.2.2. Pull seat cover over the side bolsters and forward over the cushion for seat-surface extension.
3.2.3. Engage seat cover hooks -7- in the metal frame.

3.2.4. Attach seat cover at the front with clips -4-.

3.2.5. Engage two seat cover holders at the left and right.
3.2.6. Engage rubber tensioner -3- in the bracket at the left and right.

3.2.7. Fit tie-wraps -5- and one (metal) cushion clip -6-.
