Removing And Installing Air Cushion Control Valve

Installation position of control valve for air cushion







Preliminary work

INFORMATION:
- The front seat only needs to be removed if the control valve for the seat and backrest air cushions is to be removed on the sports seat.
- Only the padding for the middle backrest needs to be removed when removing the control valves for the lumbar air cushions.

1. Remove padding for front middle backrest.
2. Remove front seat.

1. Remove control valve for lumbar air cushion -1- at the left and right from the guide -arrow- .







2. Pull pressure line -1 and 2- off control valve for lumbar air cushion -arrow- .







3. Release and pull off electric plug connection -1- ( -arrow- ).
4. Remove control valve for air cushion.

Removing control valve for air cushion on sports seat







1. Disconnect pressure line for air cushion for seat.
1.1. Place seat on its side.
1.2. Disconnect pneumatic plug connection -1- on the underside of the seat -arrow A- .
1.3. Remove pressure line -2- from the holder -3- ( -arrow B- ).







2. Pull pressure line for air cushion for seat out of the backrest area.
2.1. Cut tie-wraps -1- .
2.2. Pull pressure line for air cushion for seat -2- in the backrest area up towards the control valve.







3. Disconnect pressure line for air cushion for backrest.
3.1. Disconnect pneumatic plug connection -1- ( -arrow- ).
3.2. Pull pressure line -2- in the backrest area up towards the control valve.







4. Remove control valve for air cushions for seat and backrest from the guide -arrow A- .
5. Pull the pressure line -1- off the control valve -arrow B-







6. Release and pull off electric plug connection -1- ( -arrow- ).
7. Remove control valve for air cushions for seat and backrest

Installing air cushion control valve

Installing control valve for air cushion on comfort and sports seats







1. Plug in electric plug connection -1- until it engages securely -arrow- .







2. Connect pressure line -1 and 2- to the connection for the control valve for the lumbar air cushion until it engages securely -arrow- .







3. Insert control valve for lumbar air cushion -1- at the left and right into the guide -arrow- .

1. Plug in electric plug connection -1- until it engages securely -arrow- .
2. Connect pressure line -1- to the connection for the control valve for the air cushions for the seat and backrest until it engages securely -arrow A- .







3. Insert control valve for air cushions for seat and backrest into the guide -arrow B- .







4. Connect pressure line for air cushion for backrest.
4.1. Route pressure line -2- in the backrest area from the control valve down towards the pneumatic plug connection.
4.2. Connect pneumatic plug connection -1- until it engages securely -arrow- .







5. Route pressure line for air cushion for seat in the backrest area.
5.1. Route pressure line for air cushion for seat -2- in the backrest area from the control valve down towards the pneumatic plug connection.
5.2. Position pressure line for air cushion for seat -2- using tie-wraps -1- .







6. Connect pressure line for air cushion for seat.
6.1. Place seat on its side.
6.2. Connect pneumatic plug connection -1- on the underside of the seat until it engages securely -arrow A- .
6.3. Position pressure line for air cushion for seat -2- using a holder -3- ( -arrow B- ).

Subsequent work

1. Secure padding for front middle backrest.
2. Install front seat.
