Information
- When removing the new engine from the transport frame, it may be necessary to raise the transport frame at the side (flat jack or similar). => Workshop crane and transport frame
- When removing the new engine from the transport frame, it may be necessary to safeguard the engine against lateral movement using a second worker und against scratching by covering it with a blanket.
Workshop crane and transport frame
1. Remove design cover from the engine if you have not already done so. For details, see -> 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover) Service and Repair
2. Engage one hook of the suspending device 3033 in the rear transport eyebolt on the engine. Engage the other hook of the suspending device at the front of the engine. Raise the workshop crane slightly and tension the spindles slightly. The suspending device must be adjusted evenly. => Workshop crane on the V8 engine

3. Carefully lift the engine and balance it or separate the engine from the transmission, depending on what you want to do.
