Removing oil spray jets
Information
- The type of oil spray jets used depends on the engine number. Always check the engine number when ordering new oil spray jets.
- For specific allocations, always check the Porsche Parts Catalogue.
- Adapted software must be installed on the control unit if necessary due to modified oil pressures.
1. Remove oil spray jets -6-. To do this, loosen the screws -7-.

Information
The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally. -> 1001IN Tightening torques, tightening sequences, assembly overviews [1][2]Specifications. Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

1. Insert oil spray jets into the upper part of the crankcase with new sealing rings and screw them on. To do this, grease sealing ring using Kluber Syntheso GLEP 1 and fit it. Check that oil spray jets are pointing in the correct direction of spray toward the inside of the piston crown. The oil spray jet must be aimed at the piston crown. => Spray direction => Spray direction from side

Subsequent work
Information
1. Install the crankshaft. -> 134819 Removing and installing crankshaft Service and Repair
2. Assemble the engine. -> 1001Z2 Assembling engine 1001Z2 Assembling engine
3. If necessary, a new version of DME must be installed when you have completed this work (oil jet opening pressure). This may also apply after replacing the engine.
