Removing And Installing Plenum Panel Cover

Preliminary work

INFORMATION: Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.







1. Move front lid to service position.

Removing plenum panel cover

1. Loosen the rear lid seal -1-.







1.1. Lift up the foam corner piece -3-

1.2. Pull seal off as far as required until the plenum panel cover is free.

2. Detach front profile seal on the lid -2-.

2.1. Pull the end -1- of the front profile seal off the retaining lug -2- against the direction of travel.







2.2. Lift up the seal and pull it off as far as required until the plenum panel cover is free.

3. Unscrew the three fastening screws -1-.







4. Remove plenum panel cover.

Installing plenum panel cover

1. Position plenum panel cover.

2. Tighten the three fastening screws -1-.






3. Pull the end -1- of the front profile seal over the retaining lug -2-.







3.1. Hook the end -1- of the front profile seal into the retaining lug -2- and press it on.

4. Fit the rear profile seal on the lid -1- and press on firmly from the inside out.







5. Press the foam corner piece -3- onto the profile seal.


Subsequent work

Close the lid from service position.
