Information
Before checking the fuel quantity, a pressure check must first be performed in accordance with Guided Fault Finding in the PIWIS Tester or based on the instructions in the repair information. -> 200201 Checking fuel pressure 20020100 Checking fuel pressure

1. Place a cloth under the fuel supply line (low-pressure) -line 4- and open the line using two open-ended wrenches. Counter at the centre piece while doing this and loosen the union nut at the engine side. => Fuel low-pressure line

2. Connect the tester to the body-side low-pressure hose. The set-up must be fully sealed. => Measuring tool set-up

3. Hold the free end of the hose downstream of the pressure reducer into a large measuring container (recommended volume of 5 litres). => Delivery rate test in measuring tub or bucket

4. Connect the Tester and get it ready. PIWIS Tester II 9818
4.1. Connect a charger to the vehicle battery. The voltage should be approx. 12.5 V (no rapid charging allowed because the voltage is too high!).
4.2. The fuel pump can be activated and deactivated as follows:
4.3. Diagnostics => Panamera => DME => Drive link test/checks => Drive links => Fuel pump 1
4.4. 100% is displayed. The fuel pump starts to deliver fuel when you press Start.
4.5. The fuel pump stops when the percentage value changes to 0%. Press Start again.
5. Have a stopwatch ready.
6. Activate the fuel pump. The fuel pump must deliver at least 3 litres a minute.
