Preliminary work

1. Remove roof console -> 708319 Removing and installing roof console - section on "Removing" 708319 Removing and installing front roof trim panel
2. Vehicles with GPS antenna: Remove GPS antenna.-> 911319 Removing and installing GPS antenna - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

Removing interior rear-view mirror

Installation position of interior rear-view mirror

1. Pull off plug connection for automatic dimming function -1- for the rear-view mirror -arrow-.

Disconnecting plug connection

2. Remove left and right caps.
2.1. Insert a narrow screwdriver between the caps -2- and press them apart carefully -arrow-.

Removing caps

2.2. Remove caps.
3. Remove rear-view mirror.
3.1. Turn the rear-view mirror anti-clockwise until it comes to a stop -arrow A-.

3.2. Remove the rear-view mirror by pulling it downwards -arrow B-.
3.3. Carefully pull the cable and plug connection out of the guide.

Installing interior rear-view mirror

1. Install rear-view mirror.
1.1. Feed cable and plug connection into the guide.
1.2. Fit rear-view mirror and press it into position -arrow A-.

Fitting rear-view mirror

1.3. Turn the rear-view mirror clockwise until it comes to a stop -arrow B-.
2. Install left and right caps.
2.1. Position the caps on the rear-view mirror and press together until the caps engage firmly at the left and right.

Installing caps

2.2. Check that the caps are seated securely.
3. Plug in plug connection for automatic dimming function -1- for the rear-view mirror -arrow-.
