NOTICE

-> Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.
-> Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.
-> Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least => Nominal value: 40 A to the vehicle battery.
The PIWIS Tester II 9818 is connected to the vehicle via a diagnostic socket. The diagnostic socket is located inside the vehicle close to the driver's A-pillar below the instrument panel.
Diagnostic socket
1. Start the PIWIS Tester II 9818 and follow the instructions on the Tester.
2. Select the vehicle type and start the PIDT.
3. In the Control unit overview, press F7 to continue.
4. Select the menu Read out all fault memories and erase them if necessary and press F12 to continue.
5. Check existing faults and press F8 to delete faults.
6. Delete faults by pressing F12 (Yes) or press F11 if you decide not to delete the faults.
7. Press F11 to return to the selection.
Resetting service interval
If the engine oil is replaced during maintenance work, the service interval must be reset.
1. Start the PIWIS Tester II 9818 and follow the instructions on the Tester.
2. Select the vehicle type and start the PIDT.
3. Select the Instrument cluster menu and press F12.
4. Select the Maintenance/repairs menu.
5. Select the Reset service interval menu and press F12.
6. Select the maintenance work that was carried out (tick the relevant boxes) and press F12.
7. Select the engine variant and start the Reset function by pressing F8. Press F12 to continue.
8. Exit the menu, shut down the PIWIS Tester and disconnect it from the vehicle.
