Front Axle

Front Axle

Front Axle With Steel Springs
- Aluminum double-wishbone front axle with aluminum subframe.
Advantage: Reduced weight
The subframe is bolted directly to the body.
- Integrated front spring/shock absorber unit with PASM.
Advantage: Takes up less space.
Color coding for suspension/chassis variant.
- Hydraulic bearings on front control arms.
Improved damping of vibrations in longitudinal direction and as a result, fewer disruptive vibrations are transmitted to the steering.
- Supporting mount with optimized damping characteristics on the front axle with Cellasto inserts.
- Steering gear with variable steering ratio and controlled power-steering pump (Servotronic option).
- Tube-type anti-roll bar with a diameter of 25.5 x 5.5 mm.

Cellasto inserts in spring-strut mount for optimized vibrational and rolling comfort. Cellasto is based on a highly abrasion-resistant polyurethane elastomer, which is ideally suited for dynamically highly stressed components in cars. These include springs in the chassis, shock absorber mounts, steel spring supports, rubber stops and torque supports.

Front Axle With Air Suspension
- Aluminum double-wishbone front axle with aluminum

- Tube-type anti-roll bar with a diameter of 25.5 x 5.5 mm for the Panamera S and 4S and 28.0 x 4.0 mm for the Turbo.

Front axle - V6

The V6 models also feature aluminum double-wishbone front axles with chassis subframe. The large base between the upper and lower wishbone helps keep bearing forces to a minimum. This therefore ensures precise wheel guidance.
