In combination with the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), the new Panamera models with PDK feature two handy sliding switches integrated into the steering wheel spokes, which facilitate precise and straightforward shifting. Pressing the sliding switches forward shifts the PDK up, pressing them towards the driver from the back of the steering wheel shifts the PDK down. It makes no difference whether the right or the left sliding switch is used for changing gears. Holding the sliding switches allows the driver to shift up or down sequentially to the maximum or minimum permitted gear.
