Checking and topping up transmission oil





Preliminary work for transmission oil

Remove underbody panelling.

Checking transmission oil

Information
* Secure vehicle to prevent it rolling away.
* To check transmission oil the vehicle must be horizontal.

WARNING
Hot fluid
* Danger of scalding

-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -1-.

2. The oil level is correct if the oil reaches the lower edge of the inspection window. If this is not the case, top up transmission oil.
3. Screw in a new oil inspection plug -1-. -> Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)

Topping up transmission oil

WARNING
Hot fluid

Use only oil approved by Porsche.

2. Fill with oil up to the bottom edge of the oil inspection plug.
3. Screw in a new oil inspection plug -1-. -> Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)

Subsequent work for transmission oil

Install underbody panelling.
