Boost pressure control limit exceeded

NOTE: The boost pressure is judged to be too large and reduced through the boost-pressure control. The fault is detected if the boost pressure control cannot adjust the boost pressure correctly within a control limit.

Diagnostic conditions
- Full-throttle acceleration

Possible fault causes
- Boost pressure adjuster fails to adjust (sufficiently)
- Wrong value from boost pressure sensor to DME control unit
- Diverter valve does not open (sufficiently)

Fault effects
- Boost pressure control switched off (Boost pressure low)
- Reduction Engine torque
