Diagnosis information - DME (DFI)

Oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter, bank 2 - pumping voltage line

NOTE:

- Do not use contact spray on the oxygen sensor plug connections, as this will cause irreparable damage to the lines (blockage of reference air duct).
- Do not interchange oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter and oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter as this will cause implausible fault entries.

Diagnostic conditions
- Perform short test [Oxygen sensor active test]

or (if no short test is possible):

- Exhaust temperature more than 200 °C (392 °F)
- Engine at operating temperature
- then drive for 2 minutes (incl. 1 overrun phase)
- then engine idling more than 30 seconds

Possible fault causes
- Open circuit, compensating current
- Oxygen sensor faulty
