NOTE: The internal impedance of the pressure regulator is 5.5 Ohms at 25 °C (77 °F).

Diagnostic conditions
The control unit must be active in order to test internal function sequences and diagnosable inputs/outputs.
In the event of a fault, check whether the fault is permanently >present<. To perform the check, erase the fault memory, meet the diagnostic conditions and read out the fault memory again.
- Ignition on

Possible fault causes
- Short circuit to B+/ ground/ to each other or open circuit
- Pressure-regulating valve 1 faults (see Fault text)
- Tiptronic control unit faulty
- Electrical fault in circuit

Fault effects
- A warning message is shown on the instrument cluster.
- The transmission is shifted to mechanical Limp-home mode, i.e.:
- the pressure actuators and solenoid valves are shutoff.
