P2010
P201000Diagnostic information - DME control unit
Electronic adjuster, intake manifold flap 1
DANGER
High voltage.
Death or severe injuries due to high voltage or high current.
- De-energise the vehicle in accordance with the guidelines.
- Work must not be performed on parts carrying a high voltage.
The control unit must be active in order to test internal function sequences and diagnosable inputs/outputs.
In the event of a fault, check whether the fault is permanently >present<. To perform the check, erase the fault memory, meet the diagnostic conditions and read out the fault memory again.
NOTE:
- Motor for intake manifold flap
- Motor must be replaced only complete with lower part of intake manifold
- Emergency operation (fuel injection quantity/engine speed)
- Check flap for unhindered movement and clean if necessary
- Push rod mounted on module correctly
Diagnostic conditions
- Idling
Possible fault causes
- Intake manifold flap motor, short circuit to B+
- Intake manifold flap motor, short circuit to ground
- Mechanically blocked
- Sensor for intake manifold flap adjustment, implausible signal
- Sensor for intake manifold flap adjustment, short circuit to B+
- Sensor for intake manifold flap adjustment, short circuit to ground
- Electrical fault
