Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect starter wiring.
3. Remove catalytic converter heat shield, catalytic converter, and starter heat shield.
4. Loosen rear support bracket bolt and retain motor mount spacer.
5. Remove three starter mounting bolts, then remove starter.
6. Reverse procedure to install, tightening three starter mounting bolts before installing starter rear mounting bracket.
